COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

I’m starting with a huge vote of thanks to Lizzie Colliss, who stood down from the Communications Committee at the AGM in June, to enable her to focus on her District role and young family. Lizzie has done a brilliant job in steering the Communications Committee during her time as Convenor, and in producing excellent issues of the Guild Newsletter which have been very well received by Guild members. I would also like to sincerely thank Andrew Glover, Guild Webmaster, for his tireless efforts to keep the Guild website up to date, and for all the technical help he gives the Communications Committee.

Unfortunately, Communications Committee activities have been somewhat curtailed by the number of members, and so the remainder of 2024 has been about holding the fort and keeping Guild communications ticking over. We’d really benefit from more hands to share the workload, so we’d love to hear from you if you would be willing to help with preparing newsletters or helping to come up with ideas and initiatives to help communications within the Guild run smoothly. You may have experience from your employment or other voluntary organisations that you could share with the Guild, or just have enthusiasm for getting the message out to ringers about things that are going on in the W&P.

Just a reminder of the communications channels that already in place and working well:
